About Us

It all began during our architecture studies in Cologne. Between designs, night shifts, and deadlines, we regularly searched for suitable CAD figures – people, trees, or objects for architectural drawings. What we found was often cluttered, stylistically inconsistent, or technically poorly implemented. The search cost time, which is often in short supply in student and office life.

From this experience, an idea was born: to develop our own CAD library for architecture – with figures that are functional, clearly drawn, and immediately usable.

Thus, Flatfigures was founded. Flatfigures is a platform for CAD people, CAD trees, CAD animals, and other 2D-style CAD objects, specifically developed for architectural drawings, presentations, and DWG plans.

Our goal is to provide CAD figures that can be technically processed reliably and integrate calmly and discreetly into various presentation styles. Each element – whether human, tree, or silhouette – is designed so that it can be integrated into plans without additional post-processing and flexibly adapts to different scales and drawing styles.

Behind Flatfigures are two architecture students from Cologne who, from their own practical experience, know the requirements placed on CAD objects in design, study, and office routines. The development of the figures considers real planning processes and typical use cases in architecture and urban planning.

The Flatfigures CAD library is continuously expanded and includes figures, silhouettes, and objects for presentations, competitions, and design representations. Each figure is carefully drawn and technically structured to support a clear, to-scale, and easily legible representation.

Because good plans benefit from good figures.
